SPICE TV - Africa's first 24/7 international fashion channel - is recruiting, looking for a highly creative and organized Post Production Supervisor to join the production department. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of creativity combined with an eye for detail. A pro-active and creative approach is integral to this role as are excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Description
- We are now looking for a talented Post Production Supervisor to join the Spice TV Creative Production team.
- The role is full time and involves working with a fast-growing team.
- The Post-Production Supervisor is responsible for managing in-house editorial and production staff, assessing editorial and production bandwidth requirements and bringing on freelance editorial staff as needed, overseeing asset management, internal and external communications and scheduling.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years combined post-production coordination experience, or experience with digital.
- Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary
- Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines.
- An expert in technology, comfortable trouble-shooting problems throughout the editorial department.
- Background in film and television production, or in digital content.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven start-up environment.
- Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver, with ability to overcome technical challenges as necessary.
- Experience with a variety of post-production software including: Final Cut, Quicktime, FTP knowledge, and a variety of video codecs and distribution specifications.
- Experience with scheduling software and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed.
- Scheduling and tracking of show deliverables from start to distribution, able to pinpoint any episode at any time for delivery timing and evaluation.
- Working collaboratively with the editors and the production team, as well as outside vendors to ensure projects are completed as expected.
- Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions.
- Manage time effectively and learn quickly, stay calm under pressure and excel in fast-paced project timeframes.
- Coordinate freelance editors and external. Assist in responding to content delivery requests.
- Attend editorial meetings, and work with wider Creative team, to produce viable video content ideas which will drive engagement and product sales in a visually beautiful and editorial way.
- Support with video upload to website.
- Work with wider Spice TV teams to create video content to support campaigns and marketing calendar.
- Accurately archive footage to be easily accessed by the Editorial team.
- Perform quality assurance on all video footage.
