Job Description
Provide geotechnical support to geoscientists; carry out data gathering and data loading in Petrel and Geoframe, perform data transfers from/to PC LAN environment, create non-interpretative maps and plots for geoscientists, identify opportunities for optimizing data management using company approved software applications, create and document workflows and processes so that other technicians and geoscientists can use, maintain and update Geological and Geophysical database to improve teams overall performance, share work process/knowledge with other geotechnicians.

Requirements of Candidate

Higher National Diploma (Upper Credit) or BSc degree (with a minimum of second class lower) in Computing, Geoscience or Engineering
Possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Other Requirements

Have strong computing skills and strong technical knowledge of geoscience data management, data retrieval, transfer and formatting via PC Lan environment.
The individual must also possess ability in data transfer (gathering and data loading) skills in Petrel, Geoframe and portable physical media.
Ability to contour maps using grids from geologist, and knowledge of ArcGIS would be an advantage.
The individual must demonstrate ability to learn quickly.

I am a fresh Mechanical Engineering graduate with experience in hydraulic system and industrial generators. I had my industrial training with Nigerian Westminster Dredging and Marine (NWDM) Ltd in Brass LNG (early works) in Maintenance Workshop which deals on hydraulic machines and CAT engines/generators. During my National Youth Service corps (NYSC) year in Lagos, I worked with Hyundai Motors Nigeria Ltd in the Workshop. I am good at repairing, maintenance, coupling and dismantling of engines/gears (both manual and automatic transmission gears). Good at reading engineering design, strong knowledge in computer, extensive use of auto CAD (2D and 3D), and excellent communication skills.
Due to the relevance of safety in the oil and gas companies, that had made me to have certificate in Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) on Supervision with Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals. I have highly initiative spirit, interpersonal skills, writing skills, good team player and ability to learn quickly.

Hello,

Just want to know if Mobil has called anybody for aptitude test for the Geoscience technician advertised sometimes in May this year. I will appreciate feedback.
