NYSC Mobilization Time-Table for 2015 Batch 'A' is Out

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme was created in a bid to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the Nigerian Civil war. The unfortunate antecedents in our national history gave impetus to the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established "with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of National.

The Management of the National Youth Service Corps wishes to inform the general public, especially prospective Corps members, that due to some operational exigencies, Corps members will be mobilized in only two batches this year, i.e., 2015 Batch 'A' and 2015 Batch 'B';.

Furthermore, the 2015 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course has been scheduled to take place from Tuesday, 5th May to Tuesday, 26th May, 2015, and not in the month of March as obtained in the previous years.

Accordingly, Management and other stakeholders at the 2015 Batch 'A' Pre-Mobilization Workshop adopted the 2015 Batch 'A' Mobilization Time-Table which has since become operational. Major highlights of events in the mobilization time-table are as follows:

9	Notification for on-line printing of call-up letters	27th April, 2015
10	Delivery of call-up letters to CPIs	27th - 29th April, 2015
11	On-line printing of call-up letters by Prospective Corps Members/Collection of call-up letters in the schools	27th April - 4th May, 2015
