The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the effective management of the finance department in all strategic and tactical matters and ensure that the company has the financial wherewithal to execute projects on behalf of the clients, meet various stakeholder obligations, run profitably and invest for its future benefit.

You will be expected to:

• Direct and coordinate all Accounting/Finance functions and activities of the company in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department
• Manage the development and implementation of all policies, procedures, goals, objectives and priorities that guide the department’s financial services functions
• Provide the lead in the production and development of management/financial accounting and reporting, give guidance and advice on all operational financial matters to management
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports on project profitability
• Oversee preparation of the agency's annual budget and ensure its effective implementation
• Maintain and manage relationships of other stakeholders such as government agencies, auditors, etc.

Job Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or any accounting related discipline with minimum of 8 years' cognate experience in any Integrated Marketing Communications agency
• Professional qualification such as ICAN/ACCA is required, an MBA or a relevant post graduate qualification in a related discipline will be an added advantage
• Must possess demonstrable expertise in the use of accounting software packages, (Specifically Sage)
• Must have experience dealing with auditors, FIRS/LIRS officials, and other government personnel from ITF, NHF, etc.
• Proven ability for implementing and monitoring financial controls
• Experience in working directly with a Managing Director and/or Senior Management team members would be beneficial
