Job Description
The Oracle Workforce Development Program (WDP), offered through Oracle University, is designed to drive capacity building around Oracle Technologies by training unemployed IT graduates, graduates from other areas than IT in IT topics, participants in vocational training programs to help address the shortage of skilled workers in the global technology industry. By offering this program, Oracle will work with funding organizations (Governments, European Union, USAid, World Bank, Educational Institutions and similar) and working with education partners and universities help prepare and certify market-ready IT specialists using training content developed by Oracle.
Oracle's training curriculum enables a superior real-world learning experience, which when combined with the validation of skills through Oracle's certification programs, will help participants build confidence in securing employment. Oracle's WDP is available to for-profit educational institutions for use in their degree-granting programs, and to certificate-granting institutions.
Detailed Description
- Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business.
- Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
- As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision.
- Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
- Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.
- Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
- Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
- Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role.
Responsibilities
- Work with all different funding organizations to have visibility of funds available and work directly with them or through partners to allocate money accordingly for building Oracle skills
- Develop and manage a partner base of WDP partners
- Align WDP efforts with the Oracle license organization and the capacity building strategy initiatives
- Ability to initiate and sustain long term, high level relationships with funding organizations, government departments, Oracle's leadership partners in countries and regions
- Work with partners and funding organizations to design the right learning paths and training approaches based on a strong knowledge of IT careers and IT job markets
- Develop and follow up on business plans with partners
- Provide weekly accurate sales forecasts to Manager
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual partner business targets
- Align sales approaches with local sales and sales management
Qualifications/Requirements
- BSc degree or equivalent;
- 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system.
- Through knowledge of system and application design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Proven success and experience in working with funding organizations on a high level
- Experience in Training business and Skills Development programs
- Partner management experience
- Proven business acumen in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment
- Good communication and persuasive skills in English written and verbal, other languages like French or Spanish are of advantage
- Proven ability to work through others
- Professional with good organizational and planning skills
Preferred Locations:
- Countries with proximity to funding organizations: Belgium, France, Germany or similar
- Countries with major business opportunities in Workforce Development like Kenya
