Ritman University is the 58th Private University, approved by the Federal Government to begin academic activities on February 25 2015 and Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to begin operations as a Private University on March 5th 2015.

The Governing Council, Ritman University, Ikot Ekpene invites applications from suitably qualified Professors, who have relevant experience in University teaching, research, management and administration to apply for the vacant post of:

The Objectives
We seek to:

• Encourage the advancement of learning and to hold out to all persons, without distinction of race, creed, sex or political conviction, the opportunity of acquiring a higher and liberal education;
• Provide courses of instruction and other facilities for the pursuit of learning in all its branches and to make those facilities available on proper terms to such person as are equipped to benefit from them
• Encourage and promote scholarship and conduct research in all fields of learning and human endeavor;
• Relate its activities to the social, cultural and economic needs of the people of Nigeria
• Undertake as part of its academic programme, part time courses in various disciplines, to cater for the interest of the working class or those who could not benefit directly from full-time university education;
• Establish a centre for entrepreneurial studies to stimulate job creation and innovate abilities in students from the onset of their studies, in such a way that graduates shall be resourceful, self-reliant and job creators; and
• Undertake any other activities appropriate for a university of the highest standard.

Eligibility

• All applicants must be outstanding scholars who are locally and internationally respected and renowned.
• Such persons must be able to steer and pilot the affairs of the University in Senate, congregation, convocation and communities of scholars and academicians.

Requirements
The minimum requirements expected include:

• Being a full Professor with outstanding academic credentials and an earned Ph.D in any field of studies, from any duly recognized tertiary institution;
• Possess considerable managerial and leadership experience in the university system;
• Demonstrate excellent ability to attract funds to the university
• Has proficiency in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for communication, administration and teaching;
• Be an honest team player with demonstrable and proven integrity, with high moral standards and unimpeachable character:
• Has total commitment to best practices in corporate governance, particularly with respect to accountability, transparency, probity and reliability;
• Be able to develop linkages with national and international institutions and organizations that can contribute to the financial, academic and research needs of the university;
• Has good physical and mental health;
• Be competent enough in financial and administrative matters to guide and advice the University Governing Council. when such become necessary and needful.
• Must be a highly disciplined person capable and willing to instil and maintain discipline amongst staff and students of Ritman University;
• Must be able to command the respect and loyalty of all members and sectors of the university comm unity and be respected by the society at large;
• Must provide, in writing, his management and academic vision for the university.

Salary
The salary for the post is attractive, negotiable and would be such as are currently earned in any reputable university in Nigeria.
