Every national job recruitment is for university graduates; every scolarship awards is for university graduates, then how would we address the issues about polytechnics graduates. Nig govt are not wise, because they would have scrapt the polytechnics education since they have no place. This is waste of economy and creation of more hardship. I know that such an insensitive acts by the FG will one day be over. Because one day, a rooted polytechnic graduate will become the head of some of these govt parastatal, including the presidential sit, and probably the polytechnic education will be scrapt or make it more lucrative. Both Poly and Uni students always sat for the same examination, spent the same time in institution if not more than those who reads four years course in the Uni, serve Nig for one year, then the discrimination begins. It is bad!

So how about those with 2:2. Always 2:1 which most of them cannot defend. This country has a long way to go and it is only God that will help us. Until our leaders r ready to recognise certain things, else we will be no where to be found in this country that is y people do all sorts of things just to make a 2:1.

Nawa for this Nigeria discrimination is too much imagine those 2:1s who cannot defend their 2:1s are better than those 2:2 with 3.4. All graduate are equal expect those who has 3rd and pass.

I'm responding to comment No 3 where Emmybarth expressed unhappiness with jobs and scholarship being exclusive for university graduates. I share similar concern with Emmybarth about exclusion of Polytechnic graduates but I have contrary opinion about Commonweath scholarship. The qualifying criteria to apply for this scholarship is not set by FGN but the CSC in the UK. This criteria is same for prospective applicants in all commonwealth member nations where only university graduates with 2.1 bachelor degrees are qualified to apply.

The incessant segregation cum marginalization between poly graduates and uni has become too alarming and intolerable in a nation that is practicing democracy and true federalism. Its is a truism that the no of uni in the country cant accommodate the teaming population of applicants who desire to go to higher school. I am a Distinction graduate from poly with CGPA of 3.98 on the scale of 4.00 and I desire to apply for this Scholarship and you are now saying that its meant for uni graduates. Wat abt poly? Does it mean that there is no qualified graduates from the poly background? Why the are we still having these poly and the award of HND which are not regarded? Give us the opportunity to take part in the screening test and let us be disqualified there.I will apply, let me be disqualified during the test. I can beat all First class graduates from uni...I mean wat am saying
