Resposibilities:

Develop, monitor and continually evaluate insurance programs and strategies, to ensure optimal coveage and in so doing, communicate risk issues affecting company.
Develop strategies for the various types of insurance with the aim of optimizing coverage balanced against premium paid, and where necessary, introduce new workable approaches to ensure process improvement.
Ensure continued total elimination of fronting fees in line with increased participation of Nigerian underwriters in insurance placement and vigorously pursue and obtain timely settlement of valid insurance claims.
Engage internal clients to determine their insurance requirements and develop appropriate mechanism to communicate outcome of such engagement to stakeholders.
Addressing multiplicity of insurance issues raised by internal and external stakeholders.
Negotiate competitive insurance rates and terms with both the local and foreign underwriters to obtain the best result for company, by optimising relationships with stakeholders to attain their buy-in in the overall company interest.

Requirements

A Bachelor’sdegree (minimum of second class, lower division) in accounting, finance, social or actuarial Sciences.
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
Membership of a professional body such as ACA/ACCA is desirable.
