As part of its well structured growth and business expansion plans, our client is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and motivated professionals, to fill the Senior Management Position that have now arisen from the implementation of the plans:

Job Title: Chief Risk Officer

Job Descriptions

• Will develop and supervise the implementation of a company-wide risk management, and governance systems framework
• Will champion and drive a culture of proactive risk management through risk awareness and promote an enterprise risk management culture at all levels within the company and embedding the culture in all activities of the company
• Will regularly monitor and report to Management on trends and impact of risk factors and drivers in the operating environment
• Will interface actively with the regulatory bodies and maintain excellent relationships with key officials in the relevant regulatory bodies within the company’s operating environment
• Will report to the Board Directors as well as to the Managing Director
• Will act as the chief compliance officer of the company

Person Specifications

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, and any other acceptable fields of study. Membership of and certification by the risk management and accounting professional bodies is a requirement
• Demonstrable competence in forensic accounting, audit practices, risk management, business continuity planning
• Not have been dismissed or found guilty of fraud, dishonesty or any offence of a criminal nature in previous jobs
• Minimum of 15 years progressive work experience in a well organized, large public or private corporate organization, including the last 5 years in Senior Management position
