News: No Ongoing Recruitment in NSCDC - Commandant Warns the Public Against Fraudsters

The Jigawa Command of the NSCDC said it had taken note of the rumour making the rounds in the state that the corps will soon start recruitment of candidates into the organization.


While speaking with newsmen in Dutse, the Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, Malam Muhammad Gidado, on Thursday, debunked the rumour making the rounds in the state that the NSCDC is recruiting candidates, thereby warning the public against fraudsters who were allegedly inviting interested candidates to apply for the jobs.
 
The Commandant said it has come to the knowledge of the command that some unscrupulous elements have started to collect money from innocent and vulnerable youths for the purpose of securing them employment.
 
"The Jigawa command of the NSCDC wishes to draw the attention of the public to the fact that the corps is not planning any recruitment for now. The corps is not recruiting any category of personnel.
"The rumour is misleading and capable of creating confusion among our staff and the command is only training its staff but not conducting any recruitment.
 
"The command had received with dismay, information that some people were already collecting money from unsuspecting youths to secure jobs for them," Gidado stated.
 
Speaking further, he passed a note of warning across to the fraudsters to discontinue their fraudulent activities or face the wrath of the law.
 
"Intelligence teams of the corps have already been deployed and we are working hard to apprehend the suspected fraudsters," Gidado stated.
