News: Nigerian Army Smash Fake Army Recruitment Agency and Website

The Nigerian Army has revealed it smashed a notorious fake army recruitment conman who used a fake website to dupe many innocent job seekers looking to join the army.

A conman who fleeced many of their hardearned money all in the name of recruiting them into the Nigerian army has met his waterloo.
 
One Onokphemheo Godswork, who allegedly operates a fake website to dupe Nigerians desperate to join the Nigerian Army is now telling men from the Nigerian Army how he stole millions from innocent job seekers using a fake website and recruitment agency.
 
The fraudster apart from operating the fake recruitment website under the name,  HYPERLINK “mailto:[email protected]” t “_blank” [email protected], Godspowork also operates two bank accounts with UBA and First Bank, with account numbers 2083426339 and 3096498825, respectively.
 
According to Sunnewsonline, the two account numbers, bore two different names. Apparently in order not to be detected by security personnel, the suspect goes by a pseudo name, Progress Ehizoha, with residential address indicated as NIgekumhe, Egelesor, Auchi, Edoo. 11 Iruele Street, Ubiaja.
 
He was said to have succeeded in duping mostly interested candidates of 74 Regular Recruits intake, where he made huge amount of money, pretending to be facilitating their recruitment. He came to the end of his illegal business after most of his victims could not join the army. The aggrieved victims later reported the fake recruitment syndicate, whose GSM number they also provided, to the Nigerian Army. With the provision of the GSM number, 07032715751, the military intelligence went in search of the suspect and arrested him.
 
Before his arrest, the soldiers discovered that the two bank accounts which Mr. ‘Ajah’ operated for his fraud had different names. The UBA account details disclosed that it was opened in the name of Imoseni Paul of Oke Old Aloforhai Street, Oke Old Grammar School, Benin City, Edo State, with GSM number 08132352808. Other details also indicated that the suspect was a final year National Diploma student of Auchi Polytechnic, and had used his voter’s card registered in Owan West Local Area of Edo State, which he submitted to the bank.
 
Investigations also revealed that the suspect’s First Bank account, number 3096498825, was opened in the name of Onokphemheo Godsworks of 7 Egelesor, Auchi in Edo State, and he presented a voter’s card with registration number ST2/LO7/RO1/POO5 and VIN: 10028103802 but with a different address: No. 7,  State sharp corner, Egelesor, Auchi Edo State (Behind Royal Block at the Auchi Sharp Corner to Iyekhei Girls School).
 
Further investigation revealed that the suspect used the same phone number, 08132352808, for the UBA account with one Mr. Isaac Focus Emma Onokphemheo of the same address and the phone number, 08138209001, as the next of kin. During interrogation, it was discovered that the suspect’s true identity is Onokphemheo Godswork, aged 25, of No. 1 Abu Shuaibu Street, Auchi, in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
 
Parading the suspect before newsmen in Abuja, the Chief of Staff in the directorate of Army Public Relations, Colonel Nwachukwu, said the suspect was eventually tracked via his phone and lured to Abuja, where he was arrested on October 23, 2015. The army stated that it has since concluded investigation on the matter and handed over the suspect with his written statement to the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID) for further investigation and possible prosecution.
