Artist and Designers at Obafemi Awolowo Foundation Leadership Prize

The Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Prize is instituted by the Obafemi Awolowo Foundation on the basis of one of the the major recommendations of its Special Dialogue on "Transformational Leadership and Good Governance: Lessons from the Awolowo Examyle", held m July 2011 The National Prize is instituted in the name of Chief Obafemi Awolowo to reward leadership and good governance.

The Obafemi Awolowo Foundation calls on Nigerian artists to submit designs for Award Certificate, Medal and Plaque of the Obafemi Awolowo Leadership Prize.
The medal must be cast in metal, the plaque may be made of glass, perspex or wood, while the certificate must be an original painting on high quality art paper.

The Medal
Each medal should feature an image of Chief Awolowo in profile, name and the years of his birth and death, on the obverse. The awardee's name should be engraved on the rim of the medal. The artist is free to choose the image on the reverse of the medal.

The Certificate
The certificate should bear a picture and text which states the name of the Prize as well as the year of award, the name of the awardee and a very brief citation of why he/she received the prize.

The Plaque
The plaque design should accommodate the name of the Prize, the name of the awardee and the year of award.

Closing Date
The closing Date for submission is November 30, 2012
