Vacancies in a Manufacturing Company (3 Positions )

A Manufacturing Company based in Lagos is recruiting to fill the positions of:

1.) Assistant Manager, Quality Control (REF: HR/ADM 01)

Key Responsibilities

The appointee will amongst other things be responsible for:

• Product sampling and testing, product analysis and control
• Packaging materials analysis
• Online process control, raw materials analysis and control
• Assist in the establishment of new analytical procedures as required by new development and legislation.
• Assist in the development of new packaging, calibration and standardization of equipment used for analysis.
• Liaising and coordinating deviation between quality control, production, purchasing, engineering and marketing.
• Investigate and research on online product and equipment improvements.
• Liaison with SON, NAFDAC, weights and measure on food legislation and regulatory matters.
• Any other assigned job.

Requirements: The Suitable candidate must possess:

• B.Sc./HND Food Science Tech, Chemistry or Microbiology.
• Strong Analytical Skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of 12 years experience and not more than 40 years
• Computer Literate.

2.) Assistant Manager, Research and Development (REF: HR/ADM 02)

Key Responsibilities
The appointee will amongst other things be responsible for:

• Involve in new product development & line process improvement
• Provide the R & D manager with important but realizable research information, idea generation and knowledge as regards current opportunities in new technological developments.
• Carrying out periodic work study on line processes by identifying the bottle neck process points and how to avert them; by providing correct interpretation of all data generated during the study.
• Ensuring that proper stability study & shelf life determination are carried out regularly especially for newly developed products under research observation periods and preparation of regular reports as to all observations.
• Any other assigned job.

Requirements: The Suitable candidate must possess:

• B.Sc/HND Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Tech, Microbiology or Chemistry.
• Minimum of 10yrs experience with 8yrs in Research & Development in the food & beverages industry and not more than 40 years.
• Analytical skills, ability to interpret scientific data correctly and result oriented
• Computer Literate and good communication skills very necessary.

3.) Mechanical Technicians (REF: HR/ADM 04)

Key Responsibilities
The appointee will amongst other things be responsible for:

• Repair and maintenance of production machines
• Conduct routine inspection of work location in the production floor
• See to proper handling of maintenance tools and equipment
• Ensure proper lubrication and greasing of production machine parts
• Undertake shutdown maintenance of machines as at when due
• See to proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area
• Prepare and submit to immediate supervisor the required reports on machine update
• Undertake preventive maintenance of all production machines as scheduled
• Undertake installation of new machines and accessories, conveyors, etc
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements: The Suitable candidate must possess:

• OND Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in the same capacity is necessary
• Must not be more than 35 years
• Good oral and written communication skills very necessary.
