Associates - Investor Relations & Business Development at a Frontline Full Service Investment Banking Firm

A frontline full service Investment Banking firm with regional expansion focus and growing franchise in Asset Management, Stock Broking, Private Equity and Alternative Financing seeks to fill a number of roles as part of its strategic business acquisition and growth plan.

The firm requires the services of forward looking and high flying individuals to fill the below opportunity across its business units:

Job Title: Associate - Investor Relations & Business Development

Location: Lagos

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Responsibilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or any of the Numerate disciplines with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division
• An MBA with a reputable University as well as any of the industry professional qualiflcation such as ACA,CFA etc. Related industries will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within Private Equity, Alternative Investment, Pension Fund Administration and investment management environment.
• Must have demonstrable experience in leading teams through an entire chain of deal closing program in the last 2 years
• Strong financial statement analysis and financial modelling capabilities
• Ability to analyze and conduct due diligence on private equity deals, real estate, real assets and emerging markets focused fund & coinvestment opportunities, including building/modifying discounted cash flow & LBO valuation models
• Ability to prepare and present investment recommendations to internal committees and clients.
• Ability to support fund raising efforts for private equity, realestate funds etc.
• Client relationship management support including ongoing portfolio management and reporting activities and capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information:
• Work with legal counsel to review deal terms, negotiate and execute investment transactions.
• Develop and manage Investment deal flows in the sector of focus of the Private Equity fund.
• Supervise junior analysts/interns including training on investment analysis and internal processes.
• Must possess demonstrable familiarity with fund raising program and structuring in sub-Saharan Africa, Investors (DFIs, Pension Funds and other classes of investment houses) allocations, Regulatory requirements and Investor specific/industry standards such as the lLPA, ESCA, etc.
• Capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information;
• Responding to investors information/data requests and assembling ongoing data content for investors;
• Assis g with preparation of annual meeting materials and quarterly investor letters;
• Creating innovative and insightful presentation content for current and prospective investors;
• Work on marketing materials across multiple products (private equity/credit) etc
• Lead fundraising efforts for private equity and various asset classes
• Participating in existing and prospective investor update meetings
