Job Title: Sales Support Accountant - General Ledger

Location:
Lagos

Job Description
  • To coordinate the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts managed by the Sales Support & Financial Control Department
  • Ensure that payments made by Distributors are reconciled to the respective bank accounts, that distributor statements are reconciled to the general ledger and inventory sub-ledger reconciled to inventory general ledger accounts.
  • Supervise reconciliation of all Connect Store Bank Accounts, Dealer Collection Accounts and other GL accounts managed by Sales Support and Financial Control.
  • Initiate and review all requests for new General Ledger (GL) accounts from S&D and proposes GL mapping for new entries impacting General Ledger.
  • Conduct periodic review/analysis of inventory general ledger information, investigate and resolve reconciling items and adjust entries to correct errors noted.
  • Review the computation of various categories of commission.
  • Assist with ad-hoc wholesale accounting projects or assignments in support of the department.
  • Ensure value is created when engaging with customers
  • Prepare agreed activity and performance reports on a timely basis for relevant stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
  • Foster active collaboration and relationships with employees across all levels and divisions in line with MTNs VB and values.

Experience & Training
Education:
  • First degree in any related discipline
  • A professional accounting qualification
  • Fluent in English
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an area of specialisation; with experience working with others
  • Experience in a similar/ related function
  • Experience working in a medium organization
Training:
  • Report Writing.
  • IFS
Minimum qualification
  • BA, BEd, BSc or HND.
