Marie Stopes Nigeria (MSN) is a results-orientated non-profit Social Enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to meet the needs of the underserved and dramatically improve access to high qualify family planning and other reproductive health services in Nigeria. MSN is part of Marie Slopes International’s Global Partnership, which operates in over 42 countries worldwide.

MSN is currently engaged in creating and expanding access to reproductive health services for low income women and couples in Nigeria. The outlets for its RH services include MSN owned static clinic and rural Outreach programs. MSN has now finalized preparations to launch social franchising as its third outlet for the delivery of RH services through networks of private providers.

1.) Social/ Franchise Clinical and Training Advisor

Location: Enugu

Reporting to:  Social Franchise Manager

Duration of contract:   2 years (renewable)

Probationary period:  6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Implement MSN and SF Policies, Procedures, Guidelines and Manuals.
  • Oversee the Planning, Implementation, and Monitoring of the Clinical Trainings and standards of quality of services provided at Blue Star Health Care Network Member Private Clinics.
  • Develop and adapt FR Infection prevent/on and emergency preparedness training modules to be used for the training of MSN Clinic staff and franchise providers.
  • Lead work proactively and responsibly to get all recruited franchisees undergo theoretical and practical trainings.
  • Provide Clinical Advisory Support to the SF Manager, SF Staff and including SMT when required
  • Lead/Support in the Production, Review or Adaptation of Training Manuals, BCC Materials and Corresponding M&E Tools in Consultation with Clinical Services Manager, SBCC Manager and SF Manager. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com
  • Plan and Conduct Periodic Supportive Supervisory visits to franchisees.
  • Provide TA to ensure franchisees maintain and comply quality across all areas of SF Operation in line with established standards set by government and MSI.
  • Prepare and Submit Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annual and Annual Project Performance Reports on Training and Qualify Assessment Activities of SF Operation.
  • Ensure all social franchising Data is Collected, Captured and Reported accurately and on time.
  • Assist in Donor Reporting on all social franchising activities.
  • Any other duly reasonably assigned by line Manager.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Development Studies, Public Health Nurse, and Communication related field, Marketing or Relevant field or Equivalent Experience.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated Technical Expertise in the area of Social Marketing, Reproductive Health, Maternal, HIV and/or Child Health preferred.
  • Experience of DfiD, USAID, Gates Funded Projects, including working in a diverse team Environment preferred.
  • Ability to work Effectively in Partnership with a Variety of Audiences and Organizations especially CBOs
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, local language and pidgin.
  • Practical Experience and Willingness to travel to Low-income and/or Rural Community Mobilization.
  • Experience in Managing Volunteers, including Recruitment, Training and Support.


2.)  Social Franchise Community Mobilization and Marketing Office (CMMO)

Number of Persons Required: (2)

Location: Enugu

Reporting to:  Social Franchise Manager.

Duration of contract: 2 years

Probationary period:  6months

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Clinical Training and Quality Adviser in Planning and implementing training activities in the assigned states.
  • Develop and implement a mix of strategies that would ensure the promotion/marketing activities of MSN’s Blue Star Social Franchise are effective in creating a positive image of MSN and in increasing Client number of franchisees.
  • Track and Report impact of Marketing Initiative based on client feedback on Service Uptake.
  • Document best practices of the Community Mobilization Activities and organize shared learning’s within MSN for better performance and achievements.
  • Distribute, Supply, Collect Cash for selling the supply items, deposit collected cash and send Monthly Reports regarding Supply and cash collection in line with the Medical Supply Distribution Guideline.
  • Establish a referral linkage and tracking system between Communities and Blue Star Franchisees.
  • Any other duties assigned by Line Manager.

Qualifications:

3.) Social Franchise Clinical and Training Officer

No of Persons Required: (2)

Location: Enugu

Reporting to:  Social Franchise Manager

Duration of contract: 2 years (renewable)

Probationary period:  6 months

Responsibilities

  • Implements MSN and SF Policies, Procedures, Guidelines and Manuals;
  • Conducts Mapping and Facility Audit of Clinics to be recruited for BlueStar Network Membership
  • Request budget, notify franchisees of Training, Oversee Training, prepares both Physical and Financial Report following Completion of the trainings etc
  • Prepares his/her Annual Plan of Operation based on the Annual business Plan of MSN:
  • Ensure the availability of Documentation, Reporting, Referral formats, Guidelines, Manuals and Job aids used by franchisee Clinics in Adequate Quantity and Track Referral Linkages of Service Utilization.
  • Facilitate, follow up and support franchisees’ Referral and Reporting of Incidents Related Services.
  • Conducts monthly or Bi-monthly Supportive Supervision of franchisees; Support franchised Clinics in Clinical Documentation, Record keeping and ensures timely Submission of Reports.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly franchisees Performance Reports on Training and Quality Assessment Activities of SP Operation in assigned States.

Qualifications: Capabilities/Skills and Experience

  • Register Nurse Midwife or Diploma or Degree in Nursing or Midwifery
  • 3-5 years Experience in FP Service Delivery, Designing, Managing Clinical Trainings in Resource poor Settings.
  • Experience of DfiD, USAID, and Gates funded Projects, including Working in a diverse team Environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with the different Cultural, Social and Religious Identities in Nigeria, International Health, Development Issues and the International donor Community
  • Excellent Communications, Presentation and Negotiation Skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal, Oral, and Written Communication Skills.
  • Experience of Working with Private Healthcare Sector Operators is desirable.
  • Experience in the Usage of Computers and Office Software Packages.
  • Willingness to frequently travel to Project Implementation Sites.

 

4.)  Social Behaviour Change Communication Manager

Location:  Abuja, Nigeria

Reporting to:  Operations Director

Duration of contract: 2 years (renewable)

Probationary period:  6 months

Responsibility:

  • Lead MSN’s Community Mobilization and Engagement that will result in increased Uptake of MSN’s Services.
  • Lead the Development of and Implementing Innovative and Cutting Edge SBCC strategies, including Designing and Providing Training, Support and Materials to strengthen the Capacity of MSN staff, Partner Organisations, Communities and Clients.
  • Represent MSN’s interests in SRH, FP, Social franchising and Social Marketing both Internally and Externally.
  • Be a Focal Point for all Client Communications and seek out new ways to actively provide Clients and Potential Clients with new Information.
  • Work closely with MSN’s M&E functions to ensure BCC Outputs are Measurable, Efficient and Demonstrate high Impact.
  • Develop and Maintain a Network of Community based Organizations, Groups, Leaders and Professional contacts including Leading Social groups, Trade and Market Unions, Religious and Traditional Leaders, Researchers, Scholars and Practitioners In the field of SBCC.
  • Ensure that all Project SBCC Documents, Data, and other Information required for Program Strategic Planning and Reporting are prepared and submitted on time and in Compliance with Donor requirements.
  • Be prepared to Actively Implement Activities on the ground which will involve significant travel.

Qualifications: Capabilities/Skills and Experience

  • Degree in relevant field or Equivalent Experience.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated Technical and Successful Expertise in a relevant mix of Designing, Managing and Evaluating Health Programs through Social Marketing, as well as Small Group and IPC activities that have led to Correct and Sustained use of Methods, Services and Socially-Marketed Products.
  • Experience of DfiD, USAID, and Gates funded Projects, including Working in a diverse Team Environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with the different Cultural, Social and Religious Identities in Nigeria, International Health, Development Issues and the International donor Community.
  • Experience in Logical Frameworks, Behaviour change Models, Marketing, Planning and Program Management Tools preferred.
  • Fluency in Spoken and Written English, and Pidgin
  • Practical experience and Willingness to travel to Low-income and/or Rural Community Mobilization.
  • Experience in Managing Volunteers, including Recruitment training and Support.
  • Excellent Writing, Organizational, Teamwork and Multitasking Capabilities, Presentation and Interpersonal Communication Skills preferred.


5.) 
Driver/Admin Assistant.

Location:  Kano (1), Abuja (1), Enugu (2)

Reporting to:  Outreach Team leader/Project Manager

Duration of contract:   22-24 months (renewable)

Probationary period: 6 months      

Responsibilities

  • Take Responsibility for the Safety of Staff and Equipment during transport.
  • Strictly adhere to MSN and Nigerian Driving Regulations
  • Maintain the Cleanliness and Smooth running of the assigned Vehicle
  • Maintain a Logbook and Analyze fuel consumption, Records Service Delivery Data on Outreach visits Collecting, Recording and Reconciliation of cash on Outreach Site visits.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Requirement

  • Holder of a Clean and Valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of the Road Network in the state.
  • Well Presented, Organized, Courteous, and able to use Own Initiative
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English and Local Languages.

 

6.)  Outreach Midwives

Location: Bauchi (2 position), Sokoto (2 positions), Abuja (4 positions) Enugu (2)

Reporting to: Outreach Team Leader/Project Manager

Duration of contract:  22-24 months (renewable)

Probationary period: 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver Client focused, High quality Services in a range of settings.
  • To commit to MSI Core Values and upheld MSN Clinical standards at all times.
  • To work closely with other Outreach Team Members, and Partner Service Providers.
  • To assist Compilation of Data and Preparation of Reports.
  • To provide Training and Monitoring in Family Planning to Public Health Clinical staff.
  • To participate fully in MSN Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building Activities.
  • Any other duties assigned by Line Manager.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mid-Wife.
  • Relevant Training in Family Planning and in Delivering Family Planning Services to Communities in challenging settings.
  • Experience of DfiD, USAID, and Gates funded Projects, including Working in a diverse team Environment preferred.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
  • Good Interpersonal and teamwork Skills.
