Job Objective/ Purpose
Responsible for the management of all project execution activities, from Conceptual Engineering through to handover to Production of the ADPF Project, including securing regulatory approvals.
The Project comprises a centralised Gas Compression facility to provide lift gas to sustain or enhance OML 123 oil production, comply with the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) requirement for flares down and provide domestic gas to Calabar in line with the FGN Domestic Gas Supply Obligation (DGSO).
The facility shall be in the form of a Self-Elevating Platform (SEP) and a riser platform to be installed in close proximity to the existing ADPP in OML 123 at a water depth of approximately 15m. The facilities will include multiphase flow reception (140 kbpd) and partial gas conditioninJl I compression facilities for lift gas and export to shore via a 3' party pipeline (100 mmscfd}.
The project is to be executed on a fast track basis within 2 years with an estimated cost exceeding $US 500 million.
Most notably, this project will be executed under a recently established Alliance between Company and a relatively inexperienced, but fully committed, indigenous contractor.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Formulate and carry out all tasks needed to ensure the successful execution of the ADPF Project on time, within budget and with due regard to HSES and quality, including:
Manage the execution of the ADPF project via the Corporate ''ADS'' stage gate approval process.
Establish Basis of Design in agreement with all Stake Holders.
Review existing Project Management procedures to identify adequacy for this Project, amend where required and seek internal approval of all changes. In particular establish, monitor and maintain up to date HSES and Quality Plans including preparation of an Antan specific safety case.
Identify and assemble appropriate Project Management Team to successfully manage and execute the ADPF project whilst taking due regard of the current Alliance organisation and support services available.
Establish and maintain a project risk register and develop mitigation plans for all major identified risks.
Establish and maintain Project budgets, identify and raise Approval-For-Expenditure requests
(AFE's), and monitor the same.
Carry out monthly Forecast At Completion (FAC) cost estimation exercises. Coordinate constructability reviews for offshore installation and hook up.
Coordinate commissioning activity planning.
Ensure ADPF design adequately caters for Production requirements in terms of operability and obtain Production acceptance of same.
Liaise closely with Production department on all aspects of the offshore execution including Permits to Work, shutdowns, and work coordination to ensure that the Project is completed and formally handed over on schedule.
Provide input to Technical Work Programmes and annual budgets as part of the annual business cycle.
Provide monthly reports in accordance with departmental reporting requirements.
Prepare Project close out and ''lessons learnt'' report.
Alliance team with all direct and support services provided via matrix structure, as well as Corporate functions, including Asset Management and Production.
External Related Contractors and other 3'd Parties, including NAPIMS, DPR and NCDMB.
Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals (Preliminary- to be agreed):
No fatalities, Zero LTl's.
Accurate and timely monthly reporting on status, cost and schedule (both actuals and forecast).
All contract tendering and awards in place in accordance with Project schedule.
Full project delivery in accordance with agreed overall schedule and budget, and to level of quality as required by Company standards.
Both NAPIMS and AFE approvals secured ahead of making commitments including any revisions.
Project close-out report to be issued no later than 3 months after start-up.
Formally close-out all contracts within 6 months of Project start-up.
Financial Dimensions:
Directly accountable for the execution of the total Project within the overall approved Internal and NAPIMS budgets. Project is currently estimated in excess of $US 500 million.
Functional/ Technical:
Ability to deliver quality projects safely with due regard to the environment, on time and within budget.
In-depth understanding of Project Management systems and the application thereof.
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency, accuracy and quality is essential.
Sound understanding of the relevant engineering codes and standards.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to lead a team.
Ability to manage project interfaces both internally, and externally with contractors and authorities.
Sound understanding of HSES Management systems and the application thereof.
Apt presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex information into well structured and meaningful management reports and presentations.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Managerial:
Exemplary communication and team building skills - well able to lead and gain the respect of both own team members and 3rd parties.
Ability to improvise/prioritise with little notice without losing attention to detail.
Proven track record of managing multicultural teams.

Work Cycle (Hours/ Days):
Monday - Friday
07:30 - 17:30 hrs, with additional hours as operationally required - these are not to be under estimated.Rotation:

Requirements
Education
Minimum of a University 2nd Class Honours degree in an engineering or relevant technical discipline.
Professional Qualification
Membership of a relevant Professional Institution preferred but not essential.
Experience
Minimum of 25 years experience in project, engineering and construction management, with at least 15 years recently at project management level in the offshore upstream oil and gas industry.
Participated at a management level in gas conditioning/compression projects.
Previous experience of working in Nigeria is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience working internationally is a prerequisite.
Managed multidiscipline teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Computer literate (including sound working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MSProject).
