Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a large Construction & Fabrication Group in the Oil and Gas sector to recruit its General Manager (Fabrication) for its operations in Nigeria

Job Title: GM Fabrication

Job description
The GM fabrication will have the responsibility of ensuring the growth and development of the Company in fabrication management. He/she is to report to the Operations Director

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:

• The GM Fabrication is responsible for providing leadership to the fabrication group
• Generation and implementation of training programmes for the Nigerian team members
• Ensuring that the fabrication engineering division
• Development of strategies and plans for growth and operational enhancements
• Ensuring the competency and organisation of the fabrication department to meet the business needs
• Ensuring the implementation of the appropriate quality management processes, procedures, work methods etc (ISO 9001 standards)
• Ensuring the smooth relationship between the Fabrication Division, third party sub-contractors and JV partners
• Management of Fabrication division P&L
• Delivery of excellence in all divisional metric including HSE, quality, cost and schedule performance
• Defining of the scope of work for external contracting and in house execution of all phases of the work

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of twenty years experience in oil and gas multidisciplinary fabrication and construction projects execution
• Minimum of five years experience at senior level having delivered blue chip client or a blue chip organisation with specific accountabilities in the Integrated Fabrication yard operations and the associated financial and commercial management of the yard
• Must have experience in International based assignments with practical evidence of mentoring nationals
• Must have strong evidence in Project Construction Management, sub-contracting, initiating, auditing and execution control, Planning and coordination of fabrication yard business activities, Client Interface Management, business and Change management
• Must have high standards for management of Quality Assurance and HSE
