The Nigeria Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is a Para-military organization and the lead Agency in road traffic administration and safety management in Nigeria. The Corps is desirous of employing young, vibrant, intelligent and technologically-driven individuals in its march towards becoming a world class organization.

Consequently, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the following positions:

CATEGORY ‘A’

OFFICER CADRE (Assistant Route Commander) (CONPASS 08) COURSE 22

Qualification:

Candidates must possess the following:

a.) A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in any of the following disciplines; Law, Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, laboratory Science, Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance/Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology; Physical and Health Education, Accounting, Management Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Mass Communication, Social Sciences and Humanities.

b.) NYSC Discharge Certificate obtained not earlier than 2006.


CATEGORY ‘B’

SUPERINTENDENT ROAD MARSHAL CADRE (CONPASS 06 & 07)


a.) Superintendent Road Marshal (CONPASS 07)

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following:
i. Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant disciplines.
ii. NYSC Discharge Certificate obtained not earlier than 2006.

b.) Road Marshall (CONPASS 06)

Qualifications


Candidates must possess any of the following:
i. Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE),
ii. Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RMW).
iii National Diploma (ND) in relevant disciplines
iv. National Diploma in Community Health Extension Work.


CATEGORY ‘C’

ROAD MARSHAL ASSISTANT CADRE (CONPASS 03 & 04)


a.) Road Marshal Assistant II (CONPASS04) Qualifications

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following:
Minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NBC/NTC (NABTEB), two of the subjects must be English language and Mathematics.

b.) Road Marshal Assistant IU (CON PASS 03) Qualifications

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following:
Minimum of three (3) credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NBC/NTC (NABTEB), one of the credits must be in English Language.

Artisans and Tradesmen

Artisans and Tradesmen may apply under this category.

Those applying for the posts of Computer Operators, Drivers, Mechanics, Motorcycle Riders, Electricians, Instrumentalists, Tailors etc must possess the following:
i. A minimum of 4 passes in SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NBC/NTC (NABTEB).
ii. Trade Test and or other professional Certificates.
iii. Drivers and riders must have the appropriate class of Driver’s Licence.


METHOD OF APPL1CATION

Candidates are to purchase Application Forms from FRSC State Commands at the cost of One Thousand Naira (N1000) only on the presentation of the following documents:

a.) Relevant academic and professional certificates
b.) Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
c.) Letter of Identification endorsed by the Chairman of Applicant’s’ Local Government Area or their State liaison Officer.
d.) Four (4) standard passport photographs.

Other Conditions:

a.) Computer literacy and possession of valid driver’s licence shall be added advantage for all cadres.

b.) Any Certificate or qualification not declared or tendered and accepted at the time of recruitment cannot be subsequently presented for career progression in the Corps.

c.) Applicants must be Nigerians by birth or descent.

d.) Applicants must be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.

e.) Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 30 years of age.

f.) Female applicants must be single and must produce pregnancy test certificate from a government hospital.

g.) Applicants must not be less than 1.7 meters tall for male and 1.64 meters for females.

h.) Any SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NBC/NTC {NABTEB} certificate obtained earlier than year 2000 would not be accepted for the RMA category only.

i.) ND/HND Certificates must be from recognized Monotechnics/ Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology.

j.) Medical and Allied professionals must possess current practicing licences while lawyers must have been called to Bar.

k.) Male applicants must have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metre.

I.) Applicants must be free from any form of financial embarrassment, be of good character and musf not have been convicted of any criminal offence.

m.) Application Forms would be sold only to qualified candidates.

n.) Purchase of Application Forms shall not be by proxy.

o.) Applicants are advised to be knowledgeable in Highway Code, National Road Traffic Regulations (2004) and FRSC Act.

p.) Qualified candidates from Bayelsa, Zamfara, Rivers, Jigawa and Ebonyi are encouraged to apply to fill in their state quotas.

a) Duly completed Application Forms with photocopies of relevant documents should be submitted where they were purchased not Later than 5th October 2010

b) Names of shortlisted applicants and date of Aptitude Test will be published in the national dailies and on FRSC website: www.frsc.gov.ng.
