Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is responsible for Korea’s grant aid program and has played a critical role in Korea’s implementation of Official Development Assistance (ODA). KOICA’ Nigeria Office was opened in 2008 and has been supporting the socio-economic development for the people of Nigeria. KOICA Office in Nigeria is situated inside the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Abuja and headed by the Country Director/Regional Representative.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Programme Manager

Location: Abuja

Job Description

KOICA is looking for Assistant Programme Managers based in Abuja to support the implementation of its Projects and Programmes to facilitate project implementation, coordinate with relevant agencies and MDAs and contribute to the development of Nigeria.

Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to assist in carrying out the following Duties:

Management of Development Projects.
Project Efficiency and Effectiveness.
Work Plan and Project Documentation.
Communication and Networking, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

A University Degree or higher in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Education; Primary Education, Economics, Social Sciences, or a field(s) relevant to International Development assistance.

Work Experience:

Two years of professional work experience preferable at national and international levels relevant programmes.
Experience working in an international development organization an asset.

Monitoring and Evaluation Skills:

Excellent Speech and Report Writing Skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.

I am an Extension Agent working under The National Commission for Nomadic Education, Kaduna Nigeria. I train Nomadic Pastoralists on various business skills, such computer literacy, adult literacy for both males and females, identification of some minor livestock diseases and how to manage them, organizing of trainings on tailoring, weaving, knitting, shea butter processing, bee keeping, honey processing, herd health management, formation and management of cooperative societies, formation and management of peace committees between pastoralists and crop farmers, improving local poultry like local chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese etc. I would like to develop my capacity further, on the following in order to further assist the hard to reach communities which includes nomadic pastoralists: 1. ICT 2. Artificial Insemination of cattle 3. Formulation for various feeds for livestock 4. Formulation of organic remedies for livestock diseases 5. Formulation of organic vitamins and minerals premix for livestock. 6. Modern Animal Husbandry practices Building my capacities on these topic will definitely assist me in effectively rendering my assignments to most dis-advantaged group of individuals who are very hard to reach. I wish to seek for assistance if I would be assisted in training me on the above mentioned topics, I would be very grateful if my request would be considered, please
