Universal Basic Education Commission Enlistment of NCE Graduates into the Federal Teachers Scheme (FTS) for 2013/2015 Service Period - Nationwide

The Federal Teachers Scheme (FTS) was established by the Federal Government in 2006/2007 Academic Session, as an intervention to assist States in addressing the challenge of teacher shortage at basic education sub-sector.

The Scheme aims at enlisting unemployed holders of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) for a two-year voluntary teaching service in public basic education schools.

Requirements
To participate in the Scheme, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
  • Hold the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) obtained not earlier than 2004 from a recognized College of Education or Polytechnics (fully accredited by NCCE)
  • Must have undergone the NCE course on full-time basis
  • Shall not take other gainful employment during the period of service without first withdrawing from the Scheme; and
  • Must be ready to serve in any part of the State of deployment.
  • Shortlisted candidates must sit and pass the screening test before they can be considered for enlistment.
Remuneration
The Federal government shall pay each participant an allowance of N18,000.00 per month.

Method Of Application

Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications with the relevant details to:
The Executive Chairman,
State Universal Basic Education Board

In their respective States Photocopies of their NCE certificates should be attached to their applications.
Applications should not be forwarded to UBEC Headquarters.

Screening and Selection Exercise
The Exercise will take place in all State Universal Basic Education Boards as follows:

Note
Candidates must come with their Original credentials for sighting

UBEC undr Fed Govt. at Abuja-(been the
initiator of d progrm and d employer) to pls
save dia souls frm starvatn and untimely
death due to non payment of salaries. Ths
July makes it exactly 10mnths we've been
serving as teachers in pry & sec schls of diff
states operatng d progrm Without been paid
a dime. We've tried evrtn withn our capacity
to get our voice heard and to knw why and
when our money wl be paid bt there was no
tangible info or cogent reasn why we've nt
been paid since last yr October. We ar hereby
als beggng the well-meaning nigerians,stake
holders,public/pol office holders,legal
offices,NGOs,human Rights Fighters,anti graft
bodies and passionate individuals to Pls
come to our Rescue frm act of
inhumanity,Corrupt practice and breach of
agreemnt on d part of our Employer(UBEC at
Abuja). Pls,no help is too small,use any
social,legal and political influence to cal this
people to action so that they can pay d
backlog of arrears. ''Salaries Crises,Presidnt
Buhari Releases 13.7Billion naira to Assist
Debtors-Tribune Nws paper.' So as many

I hope this programme F,T,S is for assisting the unemployed teachers ,so why is the fed govmt owing them 11 months salary now,? from sept 2014 till august 2015, UBEC the sponsor to this programe what are u saying ? U people should do something,

Thank u but not dat we satisfy for that u paid us but we just manage it. are we paying 3month or 4month? cos we saw from OCTD? may b u av increased our salary to #24 000. pls FGN/ MDGs pay the remaining allowances oooooo....
