Job Purpose
The Area Sales Manager Lagos - North is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic area plan to maximize acquisition, retention, sales and profit within the territory.
The job holder will also provide leadership and strategic direction to team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Insight and Integration:
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for assigned area; projecting expected sales volume and profit.
Monitor and analyse key trends in the retail channel and identify potential market opportunities to enable the achievement of extraordinary business results.
Review the unit’s activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the territory.
Identify required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit’s strategy.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Leverage relationship within the industry to generate and expand business opportunities for estream.
Technical / Analysis and Problem Solving:
Optimize selling process and procedure to align with internal cross-functional team in order to support the sales function
Assign sales targets to teams, identify and implement specific action plans to enable timely realization of sales plans.
Oversee all daily retail sales and service activities in the assigned area.
Maintain up to date knowledge of estream products and solutions and interpret retail customer needs to facilitate new value propositions tailored to meet the specific needs.
Identify and manage High Value Individual accounts within the assigned territory.
Propose/initiate specific sales campaigns aligned with retail standards and guidelines.
Lead the implementation of the retail channel programs and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
Develop commission /bonus models and present suggestions to the Senior Manager Retail.
Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of Senior Manager Retail.
Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage team performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
Provide leadership for the team and represent the interest of the employees in the team.
Plan and manage the human and material resources of the territory to optimize performance and enhance productivity.
Generally motivates team member and ensure employee engagement
Responsible for the overall performance of the team.
Provide coaching and mentoring to help close performance gaps where necessary
Provide useful feedback to product development department on new products.
Escalate relationship/customer impacting issues not within control to technical unit.
Communication:
Ensure timely submission of sales activities and performance reports and other intelligence that is essential in achieving the organizational sales target.
Generate and submit periodic report on sales issues within the to the Senior Manager Retail who will in turn transmit to management for informed decision making
Customer Focus:
Provide and get feedback from customers
Ensure customer satisfaction
Financial Management:
Develop and track annual budget for the area/territory
Ensure optimization of sales budget.
KPIs:
Growth in subscriber’s base
Growth in revenue generation from new subscribers
Growth in revenue from existing subscribers

Requirements
Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration and Social Sciences
Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in distribution and sales in the consumer market.
Experience in telecommunication
