Objectives

• To carry out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Renewable Energy projects and ensure compliance with environmental standards/regulations

Key Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, evaluate and present relevant baseline data on the environmental characteristics of proposed study area and determine potential environmental impacts of proposed project
• Prepare an environmental and social management plan of any proposed project and ensure compliance with the pertinent laws, regulations and standards governing environmental quality, worker health and safety, land use control, etc.
• Facilitate the process of ESIA Consultant selection and liaise with Federal Ministry of Environment for review of ESIA report and registration of Biofuels projects

Requirements

• First Class or Second Class Upper (First Degree) in relevant Engineering disciplines
• Second Class Lower or HND Upper Credit (minimum) in relevant Engineering Disciplines, plus Master’s degree
• Certification/Membership of relevant professional body
• NYSC Completion/Exemption Certificate
• Applicants must not be more than 34 years of age as at 31st December, 2018.
• Applicants must have Minimum of 6 years relevant post qualification experience .
• Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
