We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Counsel - Corporate Commercial

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Provide legal representation to a corporation or business and its employees.
• Advise businesses and their employees on a variety of legal matters.
• Negotiate, write and execute agreements and contracts on behalf of the company.
• Advise on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
• Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company.
• Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements.
• Represent the company in court, in the case of a lawsuit or other legal proceedings
• Settlement negotiations and witnesses deposition.
• Provide training companies on legal topics.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of Law firm experience with an emphasis/focus on Corporate Cousel.
• Currently admitted in good standing to practice law in Nigeria.
• Education must include WAEC, BL, Called to The Nigerian Bar, NYSC, and LLM.
• Professional Certifications are added advantage.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment
• Complete comprehension of Corporate Law process.
