Role Purpose
- This role will assist our Communication/Social Media Consultant in promoting current social media strategies to increase overall reach, create brand awareness, and grow our community of supporters and donors. On occasion, this role may be involved in the content creative process.
- He/she will use social media platforms to promote active Youth Training Hub Africa (YTHA) campaigns and messaging to engage the public and increase online presence and support.
Core Responsibilities
- Website and Content Management
- Spread Youth Training Hub Africa (YTHA) images, messaging and activities through the organization’s social media platforms, and personal social media networks, if willing.
- Keeping up to date with Youth Training Hub Africa (YTHA) events and news, and choosing what to promote through our social media feeds
- Assist with finding new educative and inspiring free images for postings, per Program Lead instruction.
- Contribute creative content ideas for increasing online reach, and new campaign initiatives. Develop and manage content for our website and social media, such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook & YouTube
- Support our organization's active social media campaigns and online fundraising activities.
- Assist in monitoring activity and user interactions for all social media.
- Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways forward.
- Develop publicity materials and communication techniques to target communities who are under-represented.
Relevant Skills, Competencies and Experience
- An understanding of different types of marketing and communications media, including electronic and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+)..
- To be able to communicate effectively, be articulate, with strong writing skills and the ability to pay keen attention to details and feedback accurately
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to transform small snippets of information into interesting and engaging graphic stories suitable for Twitter, Facebook etc.
- Experience on working and functioning in a virtual work space;
- Good understanding of confidentiality
- The ability to work equally well in a team and unsupervised
- Possess a good phone.
- Micro influence and large social media network are a plus.
Work Schedule/Remuneration
S/he would be expected to work mostly virtually three times a week in the absence of core activities with filled in time-sheets on deliverables; data reimbursement of N25,000 monthly would be paid.
