Job Title: Software Developer (PHP)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are looking for excellent PHP/Node.js Developers ranging from Junior - Senior Level to work on a variety of Client projects in developing high performance web applications. You will be responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.
• Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
• You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by the front-end developer into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies(HTML, CSS, less & Sass) is necessary as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
• Writing reusable, testable and efficient code.
• Collaborate with the software development team on continuous integration and delivery as well as automated and manual testing to ensure good quality solutions are delivered
• Participating in an agile delivery process, research and recommend new solutions.

Technical Requirements

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks {{such as Laravel, Scala codeigniter) or Node.js.
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Understanding of MVC design patterns
• You should be comfortable working with APIs.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript/Vue HTML5, and CSS3,
• Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience with Container tech like Dockers.
• Integration of data storage solutions not limited to - MongoDB, couch base, firebase, postgresql.
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Ideal candidates will be innovative and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable working with deadlines and have a passion to keep enhancing your skills.
