We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Diving Operation Manager
Location: Nigeria
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any Marine technical related courses from any higher National institution + Project Management
Valid IMCA module 2
Qualified Bell or Air Dive Supervisor competence's certificate.
Current & valid offshore medical certificate
Current & valid BOSIET certificate (from OPITO approved center)
Current & Valid H2S certificate
8 years' experience in the diving industry offshore with 3 years of experience in the roles of diver and 4 years of experience in offshore air supervisor and offshore air superintendent
Must be familiar with diving machinery and systems
Basic knowledge of operation of DP (Dynamic Positioning) systems, construction barges and DSV (Dive Support Vessel)
Experience in J-Tube installation, Riser clamp installation, Risers installation, sleepers' installation, Pipe laying activities, Stinger check, Jacket installation, on board construction barges OR DP vessels, SPM,IMR, Vessel Inspection.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Most have- at least 15 years of work experience
Roles and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for all diving and ROV operational activities, including vessel deployment during and preceding any diving, ROV and/or equipment onboard the vessel or work site.
The implementation of the Company's health and safety policy is undertaken by all the Company employees and/or the Company subcontractors onboard the work site.
Follow up and monitor all activities involving all in onshore and offshore diving and ROV operations while ensuring compliance to set policies and procedures
Follow-up on pre-inspection and third party quality certification of the diving support vessels, dive lifting equipment in order to provide the necessary safety information.
Supervise tendering activities are conducted efficiently and as per the agreed procures and ensure that documentation and reporting activities are taken care of at all times.
Review and ensure effective maintenance and utilization of diving reports in order to effectively manage future projects.
Ensure that diving equipment and devices are maintained and used in compliance with their highest safety regulations and standards,
Provide recommendations on hiring new subordinates.
Liaising with the client's representative(s).
Maintains Company quality assurance.
Maintain the diving operations and activities in accordance with the relevant standards, specifications set out by the Client's representative(s) and Company procedural documentation.
Ensuring all operational/diving, ROV activities undertaken comply with the relevant legislation.
Ensuring all operational/diving, ROV activities undertaken comply with the Company diving/operational manuals and safety manuals.
Ensuring that project safety meetings are carried out and minute documented in accordance with the Safety Manual
Ensuring that the implementation, maintenance and documentation of a routine preventative
Maintenance/certification program regarding the diving system and support equipment is carried out.
Maintain close communication with the Project Engineer, and Offshore Construction Manager (if any).
Ensure that any third party (design) audit is periodically reviewed.
Action any corrective measures raised by audits and/or inspections carried out by Client and QHSE department pertaining to personnel, the work site and supporting equipment.
Present the work scope and procedures to the diving and ROV personnel for information and discussion.
Supervise any familiarization program necessary for the work.
Ensure that all personnel selected for the work are fully qualified, experienced and possess the relevant in-date certification.
Liaise with any sub-contractors involved in the project.
Obtain all necessary documentation for the work including:
Ensure plant and equipment test certificates.
Diving Operation Manuals.
Letters of appointment for all supervisory personnel and appropriate qualifications
Client Work Permit
All paperwork necessary for the running of the operation
Supervise and assist with equipment demobilization as required
Provide feedback to onshore departments regarding personnel performance.
