We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laundry Attendant

Location: Delta

Job Summary

• To perform all stages of linen processing including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, storing and delivering of all linen used in the camp.
• Ensure the proper cleanliness and sanitation of all soiled linens to maintain the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Responsibility

• Must be able to sort laundry by colours, material and fabric.
• Must be able to determine the best solution for stain treatment.
• Must be able to operate and maintain washing machines and driers.
• Must be able to clean the machines after use.
• Must be able to track laundry to ensure right items are returned to original owners.
• The ideal candidate must have valid certifications which must include BOSIET or OSP.
• Proven experience as laundry personnel or similar role
• Good understanding of safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE
• The ideal candidate must have valid certifications which must include BOSIET or OSP.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in this position.
• Must understand basic food hygiene and Safety.
• He must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• He should be able to work under pressure and must be result oriented.

Requirements:

• Must be hardworking, reliable and able to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven work experience as a laundry attendant in a location is needed
• Excellent customer service skills to offer an excellent client experience.
• Must show physical strength and ability to lift laundry materials.
• Hands-on experience in record taking
• Multi-tasking skills.
• Good vision and the ability to notice small stains and imperfections.
• Ability to follow directions from the Camp boss as well as follow washing machine instruction on garments.
• Attentiveness and patience for customers
• Helpful attitude to provide additional laundry services and housekeeping, if required.
