Golden Seed Fats & Oil Limited is an agri-processor focused on the conversion of oil seeds and pulses into their derivative products. Golden Seed Fats & Oil has a factory in Benin-City with a processing capacity for palm nuts of 155,000 metric tonnes per annum.

Job Title: Head, Supply Chain

Job Description
Accountable for managing the overall strategic production planning practices taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements and integrating materials availability
Develops appropriate supply chain strategy for the organization to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost
Responsible for facilitation of the S&OP Process and linkage with corporate process. Provide S&OP direction to plants
Works with procurement managers, inventory managers, farm managers, plant managers and other stake holders to determine and set up inter-site transfers.
Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of concession demand in the site.
Contributes to the successful execution of internal and external customer service through rigorous execution of logistics, planning, and/or procurement
Responsible for managing the operational inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels for immediate production items and forecasting for future requirements.
Establishes and implement standard/automated delivery procedures for just in time supplier stocking items
Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Objective and Key Results (OKRs) along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary
Monitors and corrects inventory levels at sites and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
Size all internal and outsourced means appropriately; contribute to budget design and (seek opportunities to outperform budget) manage within budget
Negotiates contracts with suppliers and customers
Fosters a safety culture and the implementation of safety policies and training in compliance with the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work related injuries
Manages the transportation logistics to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers/warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost
Implementing new technologies, using computer software to track goods from origin to delivery and staying alert to new trends in the sector
Responsible for total logistics cost and network optimization, including raw material delivery
Trains, guides and motivates team members for better performance
Improves the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
Reports to the Managing Director.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain / Logistics, or equivalent experience
7+ years of relevant Supply Chain Management experience in FMCG or planning/scheduling
Experienced in managing S&OP
Relevant certifications will be an advantage
Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of time organization
Planned and organized decision making makes empowered decision within their area with the best interest of the company in mind
Able to work independently and within a team.
