Area and Scope of Service

• The study will focus on Pulka, Gwoza LGA, Borno State
• The idea of the study is first to compile and analyze all available secondary data from previous research/studies done by other partners on underground water resources in Pulka. Then, complement available data by carrying out a MRS study of aquifers in Pulka with the following objectives:
  • Come up with recommendations on key areas with high underground water reservoirs potential in Pulka.
  • Recommend at least 3 best spots and estimated depth for drilling and predict the yield using a calibration

Requirements
Proposals are invited from suitably qualified candidate/organizations, for the above consultancy service. Prospective vendors interested, are expected to meet the following requirements:

• Master's degree in Hydrogeology or Hydro Geophysics (PhD in a similar domain is an asset)
• No less than ten (10) years professional experience in hydrogeology and groundwater prospecting.
• Demonstrate experience in the use of geophysical methods for groundwater exploration and specifically the Magnetic Resonance Sounding method (MRS)
• Should have all the necessary equipment to conduct the study
• Strong knowledge of the hydrogeology of Nigeria in general and the area targeted by this study specifically.
• Fluent in English (knowledge of local languages is an asset).
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills
• Good knowledge of research approaches
