Job Description
An oil and gas company requires a qualified candidate to assume the role of Vice President, Business Development.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective on each of the Company’s projects as the head of business development, and report directly to the Managing Director of the Company. Our ideal candidate must have extensive experience within the industry and a thorough understanding of the gas industry.
This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business from a creative point of view.
The employee will lead the execution of the organization’s strategy to increase sales, deepen market penetration and coordinate the organization’s visibility.
Job Summary

Coordinate, manage, and oversee all business development activities.

Key Responsibilities
Leading the Business Development team in Sourcing, evaluating, developing and managing new projects
Engagement of stakeholders, technically, commercially, and strategically along the natural gas utilization value chain
Supporting capital raising and organisational restructuring
Managing employees and actively developing their professional capabilities to benefit the firm.
Fostering and leveraging social/professional connections that will improve various company activities including but not limited to deal sourcing, fundraising, information gathering, market analysis etc.
Actively initiating and participating in activities that build up the company’s capabilities and improve the company’s culture.
Deepening company-wide knowledge of business products and value proposition.
Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Meetings, coordination, networking plans and strategy development.
Project management and Documentations management.
Negotiate with suppliers/vendors, etc.
Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
Following industry trends locally and internationally.
Execute growth plans and deliver required volume growth.
Brand management and public relations
Coordination of all team activities involved with identifying, developing and managing transactions.
Skills and Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in leadership positions
10+ years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
Understanding of the gas industry
Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Understanding of advanced project planning and regulatory issues
Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
Proven track record in sales and marketing
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to analyze data and translate results into better solutions
A deep understanding of marketing principles
Team building and management skills
Strategic thinking, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and influencing skills
Understanding of advanced project planning and regulatory issues
Requirements:
Sound judgment and ability to make decisions with limited information.
Understanding of the oil and gas sector.
Strong quantitative analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and the ability to quickly apply logic to unconventional scenarios.
High effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs (e. Excel, Powerpoint), and strong capability to build or oversee the development of financial analysis.
Strong ability to think creatively and inspire creativity in others.
Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance when necessary.
