Job Title: Mid-level DevOps Engineer

Locations: Lagos

Job Summary

• This role entails designing, building and automating highly scalable systems used by millions every day, and working with the most up-to-date technologies to deliver real change. A team player who can lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for configuring and using DevOps tooling such as Artifactory, Fortify, Snyk, Sonarqube and ELK stack
• Responsible for creating Infrastructure-As-Code using Terraform
• Evaluate and recommend 3rd-party solutions
• Produce design documentation to match customer requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 year’s work experience working in high-performing teams, delivering innovative technical solutions, applications and services
• A Java / Linux / windows / oracle background is highly desirable
• Experience in Kubernetes infrastructure
• Build and As-Built Architectural documentation
• Detailed Configuration and Build Control Procedure
• Agile Delivery
• Telecoms domain knowledge
• Script & Code Repository management
• Remote Execution
• Code Standardization
• Script / Framework Version Control
• Support for all Application Protocols
• Virtualization.

Who we are looking for:

• Expertise in DevOps open source Scripting languages i.e. Groovy or Python
• Automated package delivery using Ansible, Chef, Terraform or Deployment Manager
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or AWS, is a must
• Experience in Kubernetes infrastructure is a must (GKE)
• Good understanding of leading CI platform, eg. Jenkins 2.0/Travis and/or Circle CI Jenkins, in particular, building pipelines and pipeline as a code
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes
• Good Understanding is required around application build tools - npm / maven  / gulp / Gradle
• At least 2 years working experience
• Mid-Level DevOps engineer with experience working in high-performing teams, delivering innovative technical solutions, applications and services
• Candidates with Java / Linux / windows / oracle background
• Deep level of experience using containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or Open Shift
• Experience in designing, building and managing APIs
• Able to learn new technologies and tools quickly has the drive and the confidence to challenge the status quo and demonstrates a pragmatic and collaborative attitude that will help to develop the skills of junior members of the team

Desired Skills:

• Background in Kubernetes infrastructure

• Knowledge of industry-leading Analytics, Business Intelligence, Customer Intelligence and data management tools
• Experience with an Agile or hybrid approach to development & project management software
• Working at a client site in Lagos, Nigeria.
