Job Title: Diving Representative

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

General Description

• Leadership and management of the Diving Contractor on behalf of Company.
• Real time follow-up of the operations during diving Campaigns.
• Ensures application of Company standards, procedures, Permit to Work system and organization, international and local regulations, in relation to diving campaigns performed in Company sites.
• Oversee implementation of project Dive plan on site.

Scope of work

• Assist Company Underwater Contact Person (UCP) in performing pre-mobilization assurance checks (IMCA DESIGN audit etc) on diving personnel and equipment prior to diving campaigns.
• Contributes to pre-diving campaign planning, procedure reviews, risk assessments etc.
• Ensures Company standards, procedures, Permit to Work system and organization, international and local regulations are enforced during Company diving campaigns.
• Ensures optimization of the work planning and that the Contractor efficiently executes the approved scope of work in accordance with the approved procedures
• Completes and submits the daily report to the Affiliate UCP and site RSES-D. The daily report includes: Health and safety (statistic, hazard, toolbox talk, safety drills), work progress, weather data, diving and ROV personnel on board, crew change, items (fuel, water, material, gas status), daily events (diary of events, diving data, ROV data, operational data diving/ROV team), CDR comments etc.
• Completing and submitting a final report regarding the diving/ROV activities including observation and technical feedback about the diving/ROV contractor to the Affiliate UCP.

Context and Environment:

• Rotation status: N/A (position only required during diving campaigns)

Qualification anf Experience

• Candidates should possess a Bachalor's Degree with 3-5 years work experience.

Job Requirements:

• The Company Diving Representative must be a qualified professional diver and IMCA diving supervisor whose competence in a specific diving technique is recognized by LSO/UWO Head of Underwater Operations.

The Company Diving Representative is holding as minimum:

• The IMCA Diving Supervisor (Air and/or Sat) certificate (2 years of experience in the position of an IMCA supervisor)
• The diving systems auditing and assurance training course certificate
• The client worksite representative training course certificate (in accordance with IOGP Guidelines)
• The GSES (Worksite Safety and Environment Management) training and other RSES related.

Courses Certificates:

• A valid OPITO Bosiet or FOET + CA-EBS
• A DPR (Department of Petroleum Resources) Offshore Safety Permit
• A valid international Annual Medical Fitness Certificate.
