Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• The Account Officer is responsible for all day-to-day financial operations. This includes but is not limited to daily cash monitoring, deposits, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales and Use Tax, Monthly and Annual Close, Financial Statement Preparation and Review and Annual Inventory Counts.

Job Description

• Accurately recording day to day transactions while verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct account and cost center.
• Ensuring all sales, purchase orders, invoices and payments are posted accurately to the ledger in the correct period with the correct cost center assigned.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
• Ensure accurate stock record and providing stock related information.
• Managing payroll and expense reimbursement for all staffs.
• Ensures 100% Compliance to statutory and tax issues.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly and monthly financial reports to the management with commentary.
• Prepare and participate in budget development and forecast preparation.
• Maintain a high degree of safety and confidentiality of the organization’s documents and property in their possession.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

• HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Outstanding time management and cost reduction skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• He/she must be able to use Msword, (Spreadsheet) Excel, Power Point and other Accounting Software at a professional level.
• Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under guidelines.
• Must possess working knowledge of regulatory bodies’ taxes and general business financial conditions.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
