We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: National Sales & Marketing Manager

Location: Mowe Town, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: The Managing Director

Job Purpose

  • Engage in Strategic Sales, Marketing & Customers Management for the company.
  • Plan, Co-ordinate and supervise the sales Team across the nation with a view to achieving the company’s volume and value sales target.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets &Oversee Sales activities across the country
  • Formulate effective sales policies, strategies and ensure compliance
  • Participate in setting targets for sales representatives i.e Working out and agreeing with the management on realistic volume/value targets for the sales team, and trade.
  • Collate sales &marketing department reports on weekly &monthly basis, send to the MD as well as review with the Management Team during monthly Management meeting.
  • Assess and approve individual, customers and distributors’ orders from the sales reps
  • Build positive trust relationships with distributors across the nation.
  • Monitor, analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage and market trend
  • Attend relevant Professional Associations meetings such as ACPN, NAPPMED, conferences and trade fairs and feedback Management on the outcome.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare timely periodic reports amongst others: monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts & Reports. The expected sales team’s reports to include; itinerary, number of calls made, distributors/ new customers created; daily / weekly and monthly sales report, collections, distributors stock report and indebtedness.
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities i.e Develop new markets, create more viable distributors
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs by establishing and sustaining rapport with key accounts (key opinion leaders and distributors) by paying periodic visits, calls, exploring specific needs and opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
  • Make company’s products known to institutions, Pharmacies Stores e.t.c
  • Oversee the activities of the ASMs to ensure they achieve their agreed sales targets for the range of company products and prompt payment for sales made.
  • Achieving sales human resources objectives through involvement in recruitment, selecting, training, coaching, counselling and disciplining employees of sales team; communicating job expectations, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contribution, planning and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieving sales operational objectives by contributing to market and sales information and new business ideas that will launch the company on the path of growth and positive development in line with current trend.
  • Making realistic regional/area contribution forecasts to National sales and projecting expected sales volume for existing and new product; recommending selling prices, Monitoring costs, competition, supply and demand.
  • Protecting the company’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensuring optimal management of all company assets (Human and material) entrusted to the sales team and the trade so as to minimize waste and abuse.
  • Supervise the company’s Pharmacovigilance activities
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Background Experience / Qualification

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) / Sciences in Social Sciences
  • Additional degree (M.B.A. Preferably)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in managing a high-performance sales team
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed.
