We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Warehouse Manager
We are currenting recruiting for the role of a Warehouse Manager whose responsibilities will be as stated below:
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling requirements by studying existing and new legislations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Plan work rotas and assign tasks appropriately.
Produce reports and statistics weekly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods from delivery vans or trucks.
Confirm that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
Recording any damaged, missing, or faulty goods
Signing the delivery form, once satisfied that the goods are complete
Coordinate the moving of goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment
Labelling of goods
Allocating storage space to goods
Coordinate the relocating and re-stacking of goods to make space for a new delivery/client.
Keeping records (often computerized) of goods, their location and quantity
Supervise the picking goods that have been ordered
Keeping records of goods which have been picked
Coordinate the preparation dispatch notes and labels.
Supervise the moving and stacking of goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using machinery
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Operations Director.
Bachelor’s Degree / HND
3+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role
Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
Reporting and Documentation Skills
Equipment Maintenance Skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Teamwork and Coordination
Organization and Planning
