Job Description
A business development specialist in information and communications technology (ICT) is someone who helps bring in new business for his employer.
The job requires both technical expertise and salesmanship. The business development specialist has to identify new business opportunities and have a competitive edge in their assigned market.
This role revolves around good communication, good business sense and financial planning, a good understanding of the ICT industry and trends, marketing skills, strategy development and implementation
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
The proposed candidate must have an ICT background and be ready to hit the ground running.
Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
Candidates must be a graduate with 5 years of relevant experience.
Acquire necessary knowledge of the solutions and product assigned; by extension attend all webinars, seminars or workshops as required
Be able to pitch the product/solution and demonstrate it (where applicable) correctly and convincingly
Do all necessary sales-related exams or certification as required by partner OEM or vendor
Meet assigned target for product/solutions as assigned by the organisation
A submitted weekly report of sales activities and calls- minimum of 10 physical meetings a week
Prepare proposals, bids, quotes etc to customers and prospects
Demonstrate passion and agility for work with a high level of responsibility and ownership
Show effectiveness by converting opportunities and leads to sales and revenue
Show ‘can-do’ attitude, confidence, positivity, maturity and poise, such charisma that portends a good salesperson
Be a team player and make use of cross-functional teams to accelerate and add value to the sales process
Requirements
Education:
A First Degree from an accredited University in Computer Science or Information Systems or Business Development / Sales in a relevant field.
Relevant Experience:
Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
Proven sales track record
Minimum of 5 years experience
Experience in customer support is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
Proficiency in English
Market knowledge of the ICT industry

N150,000 monthly.
