Klasha was founded in Lagos, Nigeria in 2018 and is backed by Techstars, Ginco Investments and a group of notable angel investors. About the Role
Klasha is looking for a product designer to work on various products we develop for our customers.
This candidate will have a strong ability to take client ideas and create an attractive product based on their needs.
This candidate should feel comfortable creating prototypes and communicating with internal teams in order to deliver wholesome solutions.
The candidate should also have the ability to follow budget constraints and demonstrate some pieces of previous works through a portfolio.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Identify opportunities for new products
Analyze how a new product ties in with market needs and consumer preferences
Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
Produce prototypes and test functionality
Improve the design of existing products
Gather feedback from product users
Identify new product improvement opportunities
Analyze how a new product satisfies market needs and consumer preferences
Stay up to date on current industry trends and market conditions
Coordinate with other design team members to ensure consistent and accurate communication
Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences
Work closely with product engineers to suggest improvements for products and processes
Present product design ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups
Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Collaborating effectively with the product, engineering, and management teams
Incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience
Requirements
You should apply if you:
Have a Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Engineering or related fields.
Possess work experience as a Product Designer or similar role
Have prior experience as a UI/UX Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
Are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
Possess creativity in mixing up colours, shapes and techniques
Have experience with design programs (like Illustrator and Sketch)
Possess time-management skills
Possess basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
Pay strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics
Have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions.
