Job Title: Security Patrol Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are looking for a responsible, dedicated individual to join our police department as a patrol officer. Your responsibilities will include enforcing laws and ordinances, regulating traffic, controlling crowds, preventing crimes, and arresting those who violate the law.
• To be a successful patrol officer, you should have an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and city laws and ordinances, as well as modern policing principles. Ultimately, a top-notch patrol officer is focused and detail-oriented, but also empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling assigned areas on foot or horseback or by car or bicycle, and being on the lookout for suspicious or illegal activity.
• Performing on-the-scene investigations.
• Helping people in trouble and rendering other public services.
• Issuing citations, serving arrest warrants, and arresting people on misdemeanors and felony charges.
• Pursuing fleeing suspects on foot.
• Handcuffing and searching arrested persons and reading them their rights.
• Immediately responding to reports of emergencies or possible crimes and offering the necessary assistance.
• Regulating traffic, enforcing traffic laws, investigating traffic accidents, and assisting motorists in need.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with community members.
• Completing all necessary paperwork and providing testimonies in court.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification.
• Previous experience in law enforcement, the military, or contact security may be advantageous.
• Training and certification in firearms, first aid, and CPR.
• Knowledge of defensive and arrest tactics, federal, state, and city laws and ordinances, as well as modern policing principles.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent physical strength and stamina.
• The person should leave around Ikeja, Ketu, Ogba, Berger, Omole, Akuta and Ojota.
