We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Head of Operations

Job Functions
Direct country wide Management of the entire operations team - Hub, Ground and International operations.
Major Roles and Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate operational activities consistent with the organization’s goals
Review and implement criteria, application instructions, procedural manuals, policies and standards in line with operations requirements.
Direct country wide supervision of the entire operations team – Hub, Ground and International operations.
Routing and rescheduling of the operational vehicles and the operations as to achieve wider pickup scopes daily.
Coordinate daily routine pick-ups and maintenance of proper and accurate documentation.
Other Responsibilities:
Ensure effective and timely delivery of intra-city and on-forwarding locations consignment nationwide.
Monitoring the central Hub in BNI,ONA/ORI/ABV/KAD/KAN, transit Hubs and the trans- shipment of consignments to the final destination and feedback on 24 hours.
Ensure efficient operational performance of the FSR/OBC/FC/Clerks in terms of deliveries, pick-ups and movements, call for pick up request by out stations and others with proper documentation.
Review without season, the monthly delivery, pickup and undeliverable frequency per courier for operational planning and control.
Ensure daily reconfirmation of returned shipments in line with the returned reasons.
Ensure daily proper packaging/acknowledgement/POD analysis report is prepared by Ground Operations Coordinator.
Ensure operational policies laws and procedures compliance within the operational environment.
Strategic alliance with the customer service department/commercial and Hub operations unit on the daily ground operations day to day activities.
Prepare weekly/monthly ground operations reports:
Courier delivery weekly performance report.
Ground operations service failure report.
Hub Operations report.
Any other assignment with the Commercial Department/ Customer Service Unit on daily operations activities.
To effectively direct operational activities countrywide daily.
To ensure 100% routine pick-ups and maintenance of proper and accurate documentation daily.
To ensure prompt resolution of operational challenges within 24 hours.
To ensure prompt review and implementation of criteria, and application instruction for excellent service daily.
Basic Qualifications
Educational:
B.Sc. in Social Sciences, Sciences, Administration and Management. MBA is a major requirement and an added advantage
Must be proficient in computer applications - Microsoft word, Excel spreadsheet, power point, etc.
Must know how to drive with a valuable Nigeria driven license.
Professional:
Professional qualification is required.
Cognate Work Experience:
10 years of cognate experience in a logistics and supply chain function with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
