Job Description
This is an internship position. Under the guidance of the Go!TwentySix Project Director and direct supervision of the Lead, Vehicle Operations, and the Business Operations Officer, the M&E Officer will be responsible for the monitoring and ensuring quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that the project maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.
Excellent computing skills is critical for this role.
The M&E officer will be responsible for implementing the M&E activities of the Project; assisting the Project Team in preparing Daily/Weekly/Quarterly/Annual reports on project progress and will monitor the project activities on a regular basis, and maintaining the MIS of the Project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
The successful applicant shall also work in close collaboration with Government officials, private sector, non-government organizations.
Responsibilities
Adopt, implement, deploy and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
Monitor all project activities, expenditures with the Project Accountant, and progress towards achieving the project output.
Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation systems. Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project.
Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E/MIS.
Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results.
Deploy Indicators and Monitoring strategy for the project.
Provide inputs, information and statistics for daily, weekly, quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team.
Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the project.
Provide feedback to the Project Director on project strategies and activities.
Suggest strategies to the Project Management Team for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
Report daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Director.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
A minimum of an SSCE, or OND / HND / BSc (Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science) with 1 – 2 years’ experience.
MS Office Proficiency skills – Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Experience in designing, or using tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Smart phone usage and basic computer knowledge.
Tech-savvy. Comfortable with MS Office – Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
Ability to deliver quality service always
Excellent presentation skills with strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
Energetic, independent, and self-driven.
Salary
N65,000 per Month (asides other incentives).
