Job Description
We are looking for a detail- oriented and goal-driven Head of Business Development to increase the organisation’s revenue by improving the current portfolio, identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long term business growth strategies.
He /She carries out business strategies that are in line with organisational objectives.
You should be able to assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical and economic data.
He /She also works with regional partners to identify regional market opportunities, and builds good working relationships with buyers and sellers to assess market demand and provide new offerings.
He /She is driven to succeed in an evolving business environment.
Responsibilities
Approve demand creation strategies and new product service offerings to improve revenue and meet market demands.
Approve reports and regulatory restrictions on new business ventures.
Confirm new business agreements with identified partners, suppliers and vendors.
Direct approach to drive cost-benefit analysis and financial modelling of new business ventures.
Drive corporate governance measures.
Drive new technologies to improve business portfolio and processes.
Drive partnerships with internal stakeholders to adapt current portfolios to new business opportunities.
Drive product research to understand future impacts on product offerings and production.
Establish business development strategies to ensure overall organisational strategy is followed.
Guide business development research reports on potential revenue streams and business threats.
Lead development of business intelligence frameworks to improve data analytics and market assessments.
Lead discussions on trading research with organisation's trading departments.
Lead identification of opportunities to improve business processes.
Lead local or regional team discussions to confirm decisions on business development.
Lead new business opportunity projects based on business network feedback and economic landscape.
Lead new business ventures and plan approaches and market entries.
Lead partnerships with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for portfolio.
Lead relationship building with industry players and develop strategies to leverage network for business opportunities and partnerships.
Lead the department's financial budgeting process to acquire funds for the department's activities.
Plan targets and goals in line with business development strategies.
Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities
Directing marketing efforts by presenting market research to marketing directors and suggesting strategies to expand market research.
Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
Ten (10) years’ experience
Master's degree / Certifications is advantageous.
Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
