Job Title: Facility Manager

Job Description
The Facility Operations Associate is responsible for assisting our Operations team with managing the organization’s physical assets.
Duties and Responsibilities include
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all installations (telecommunications, electricity, etc.), repairs, and refurbishments
Managing information technology and computer systems
Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations
Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
Supervise all facilities staff: custodians, technicians, security, etc.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Respond to all members’ building or equipment concerns immediately and with a customer-service-oriented attitude
Coordinate technical support and logistics before and post events at Workstation
Monitor energy and electricity usage throughout the building including but not limited to controlling air conditioning, turning lights on/off, reserving energy on appliances, etc.
In conjunction with the Community Operations Associate, store, track and organize all keys -- all building entrances indoor and outdoor, all rooms with a lock, private offices, and lockable cabinets
Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
Audit systems and assess their outcomes
Preserve assets, information security, and control structures
Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
Experience & Requirements
Proven experience as a facilities or maintenance manager or relevant position
Excellent organizational and leadership skills coupled with sound analytical/critical thinking
Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage a variety of staff and implement process improvement initiatives
Very strong attention to detail
Passion and understanding of Workstation’s mission and values
Proven working experience as an IT personnel or relevant experience
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems
Expertise in data center management and data governance
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
BS in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar field
Previous experience working in a similar role or a background in an administrative, secretarial, or customer service role
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
Familiar with hospitality industry standards
Ability to handle a high volume of inquiries and personalities while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude
Passion and understanding of Workstation’s mission and values
Min. 1-year work experience
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
