Job Title: Costing & Monitoring Electrical Engineer

Position Summary

• We need a Costing & Monitoring Electrical Engineer who can coordinate development and implementation of project work breakdown structure (WBS)/ Cost breakdown structure (CBS) in concert with Project Lead, collect and compile progress and cost data, and develop cost-control worksheets and reports for review by delivery teams as well as Review and audit cost control procedures and practices.

Position Responsibilities

• Overseeing quality assurance on contractor cost-management performance.
• Collect and compile progress and cost data, and develop cost-control worksheets and reports for review by delivery teams.
• Deliver complete suite of cost control services and financial support to all Electrical Projects.
• Develop the project cost control strategy, plans and procedures.
• Resolve issues relating to all project cost control procedures.
• Coordinate development and implementation of project work breakdown structure (WBS)/ Cost breakdown structure (CBS) in concert with Project Lead.
• Participate in the development of estimates and studies within a project.
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
• Overseeing quality assurance on contractor cost-management performance.
• Collect and compile progress and cost data, and develop cost-control worksheets and reports for review by delivery teams.
• Review and audit cost control procedures and practices.

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills)
Qualification:

• A good Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related area.
• A background in Accounting or Finance is advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Civil Construction Engineering with at least two (2) years in project costing and monitoring

Competence:

• Strong financial cost and budgetary acumen. Proficient in IT. Ability to plan and work with estimated budget. Continuous improvement focus. Possess strong decision and planning skills.

Remuneration
