Administrative Staff College Of Nigeria (ASCON) Admission Into The Master's Degree Public Sector Management, 2013

The Public Sector Management Programme is a one year intensive course designed to equip Anglophone West African countries with a critical mass of Public Sector Managers, trained to provide effective leadership for meeting the developmental challenges in their various countries. The programme provides professional training that leads to the award of a Masters of Public Sector Management (MPSM) degree.

It is an innovative training programme for Efficient and Effective Public Sector.

Management introduced by the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) with the support of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be Middle to Senior level Professionals, as well as Officers and Managers from the Public Sector who will use their newly acquired skills and competencies to contribute to the collective pursuit of sustainable development and poverty reduction on the African contInent.
• Females and Medical Practitioners are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Be resident nationals of Nigeria;
• Be not more than 45 years of age (men) or 50 years of age (women) by October 2012;
• Be holders of a first degree from any approved/recognised university with a minimum of second class lower Division or equivalent professional qualification;
• At least four (4) years relevant work experience in Public Sector Management after first degree or professional qualification;
• Have competency in at least the use of Microsoft Office suit or applications;
• Present a plan specifying how the newly acquired Skills and Knowledge will be applied in solving problems at the work place;
• Possess Leadership potential evidenced by current employment status;
• Have Permission or Endorsement from employers,
