Akperan Orshi College of Agriculture, Yandev (AOCAY) metamorphosed from and situates at the site of the Former Farm Training Centre Yandev (FTCY), which was established in 1926. It is the oldest State owned institution of higher learning in Benue State.

Job Title: College Librarian

Location: Benue

Duties
The College Librarian is:

• Responsible to the Rector for the smooth running of the College Library.
• Responsible for framing Library Policies, Personal Contacts and Liaison with departments on book requirements/Giving Professional advice on Library matters.
• Preparing Library Budgets
• Responsible for establishing policy for Library exchange.
• Engaging in matters of common interest for the benefit of Readers and users of the Library.
• Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Rector

Qualifications

• Applicants should posses a minimum qualification of a good honours degree in Library Science (not below 21 class lower division) from a recognized University Possession of a Masters degree or a Ph.D in Library science shall be an added advantage. Membership of relevant professional body is Mandatory.

In addition to the above qualification, candidates should fulfill the following:

• Must not be more than (55) years of age at the time of assumption of duty.
• Must present evidence of relevant publications in reputable Local and international journals, seminar/conference papers or chapter contributions in relevant text books, or one standard text book in Library science. Must also be computer literate
• Must have a minimum of twelve (12) years of cognate experience in Libraries of recognized tertiary academic institutions and must not be below the rank of Principal Librarian
• Present a certificate of birth or declaration of age and certificate of medical fitness from a recog1ized government hospital.

Attractive; as obtained in similar tertiary academic institutions in the state.
