1.) Medical Director
Responsibilities:
- The Medical Director is responsible for medical leadership, building, motivating and developing a clinical team, to drive forward the development and delivery of the Centre's objectives, and providing strategic medical advice to the Board.
- As an executive member of the Board, s/he will hold corporate responsibility with otherBoard members for strategic direction and corporate policy making.
- S/he is also Board lead for clinical governance.
Qualifications:
- Qualified medical professional with unblemished MDCN registration
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Recognized postgraduate qualification(s) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
2.) Consultant in Paediatrics and Child Health
Responsibilities:
- The Consultant in Paediatrics and Child Health is responsible for both paediatrics and child health.
- Other responsibilities include provision of comprehensive general paediatrics and child health care to the Medical Centre and surrounding areas.
- Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the department.
Qualifications:
- Qualified medical doctor with clean current MDCN registration
- Recognized postgraduate specialist/consultant qualification in paediatrics and child health
- Able to develop and implement high quality patient care
3.) Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Responsibilities:
- The Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is responsible for both general obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Other responsibilities include accountability for antenatal, obstetric, and postpartum care for women and children both in the urban and community settings.
- Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and proper functioning of the department.
Qualifications:
- Qualified medical doctor with clean current MDCN registration
- Recognized postgraduate specialist/consultant qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology
- Able to develop and implement high quality patient care
4.) Director of Nursing Midwifery and Therapies
Responsibilities:
- As the Chief Nursing Officer, responsible for providing professional advice to the board on patient care and on nursing, midwifery and therapies.
- The job holder is also expected to provide leadership to the nursing function across the organization and ensure that the patients in their care receive safe, personalised and high quality care at all times.
Qualifications:
- First level registered nurse with valid registration at degree level, MSc. or equivalent experience.
- Qualified midwifery and additional professional/ management qualification will be of added advantage.
- Able to provide highly visible and credible personal leadership to nursing and therapy professions and motivate to deliver excellent care.
5.) Director of Finance
Role Summary:
This position is responsible for providing specialist professional advice to the board on financial management, and financial and corporate governance issues
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership for the finance function to ensure it is effectively developed, organised and integrated within the organisation to support the strategic aims of the board.
- Provide strategic and professional leadership for the financial resources of the Centre ensuring high standards of integrated financial planning, reporting, and financial probity throughout the organisation.
Qualifications:
- A first degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
- Must be ACCA/ICAN/CIMA certified
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare institutions and the principles and practice of healthcare management.
- Experience of developing and implementing financial strategy for an organisation.
