Job description
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for taking over existing client database, achieving sales target throughout the country, and increasing the distribution network by setting up new depots in different cities in the country.
Responsibilities
- Develop, and coach a professional sales team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth
- Create and implement effective sales strategies toward achievement of corporate sales objectives
- Responsible for achievement of the country’s sales target –monthly, quarterly and yearly
- Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning
- Routing management and distribution channelling
- Key accounts managements in traditional and local channel
- Management and identification of third party distributors
- Develop and implement annual sales plans
- Proactively identify changes in the market and competitive pressures to develop and modify sales strategies and tactics accordingly
- Training, coaching and supervision of the sales team
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and reports
- Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the country
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a University degree from a recognized institution
- Minimum 10 years of experience with 5 to 6years experience in sales management in FMCG industry
- Strong Knowledge on route to market trends and distribution channels of perishable goods in Nigeria
- Very good in the use of Microsoft word & Excel
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Post Graduate degree in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage
