We are recruiting for the position of:

Position Title: Pipeline Construction Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:

Manages all construction activities required for the successful execution of Clients pipeline replacement program during the planning, construction, installation, commissioning and startup phase
Member of the pipeline replacement program leadership team providing direction to achieve project objectives and execution strategies, planning and implementation.
Responsible to establish and manage construction site facilities required for pipelines program
Lead and manage the pipelines construction group including construction engineers and construction superintendents and supervisors
Provide the PMT interface between the work face and the Site Manager and/or Construction Lead
May serve as the lead Clients representative at sub-sites where the Site Manager (Construction Lead) typically does not reside.
May serve (and/or relieve) as the Vessel Lead
Supervise Construction Discipline Leads & Construction Tech / Foremen
Implement project safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives during the construction, installation, commissioning and startup phase

Requirement:

BSC / MSC in Engineering
15 -20 years Construction experience
10 to 15 years offshore pipeline & hook-up experience
Minimum of 10 yrs. experience in Leadership role project management

Over thirty seven years experience in various aspects of the Pipeline Industry. Construction Manager. Chief and welding Inspector, On-shore pipeline. Site Superintendent (Inspection) Utility Inspector. Leading team of Q/C+ Q/A Inspectors. Covering, welding, coating, lower-in, tie-in, and backfill, hydro-testing, cleaning and drying, R-O-W- restoration, AS-Built drawing, and compilation of punch list. Compressor Stations, chemical plants, and cross country pipelines) Have served the industry in a variety of positions including seven years professional gas pipeline welder. Construction Foreman, Welding Foreman, Tie In, Road, River crossing Foreman. Fifteen years experience in the Pipeline QA/QC Manager and Inspection, Auditor, Welding Inspector Lay Barge Welding Inspector, Coal and Condensate Slurry Pipeline Inspector. Structure Inspector Superintendent Inspector, Inspection Supervisor, Gas Pipeline leak repairs Supervisor, Directional Drilling Inspector, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning-Start up Inspector. Hydro test Inspector. I have been involved in system AUDITS as per ISO-9000-9001. Standards and HSE AUDITS as per Client lines.
