Job Description
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking highly skilled Project Execution Engineers to lead the delivery of infrastructure and technology projects from initiation through completion.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong technical depth, project coordination skills, and the ability to ensure that deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
Responsibilities
Lead the execution and implementation of IT infrastructure projects — including networks, servers, virtualization, storage, and data center systems — in a high-availability, ITIL-governed environment.
Develop, track, and maintain detailed project execution schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project plans and business objectives.
Supervise the project execution team, ensuring that assigned tasks and milestones are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Coordinate cross-functional activities between engineering, operations, and vendor teams to drive smooth project delivery.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, drawings, and handover reports for transition to operations.
Oversee resource allocation, workload balancing, and performance monitoring of technical teams during project delivery.
Manage and track project financials, ensuring all execution activities remain within approved budgets.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating critical items promptly to management.
Conduct regular project review sessions to assess progress, performance metrics, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Ensure change control processes are followed, including the management of project scope, schedules, and resource adjustments.
Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, and collaborate on incident and problem reviews affecting ongoing projects.
Support the continuous improvement of project execution methodologies and delivery processes.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure effective communication across all project phases.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical and operational challenges during implementation.
Ensure project outcomes are measurable, sustainable, and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant post-NYSC experience executing technology or telecom infrastructure projects.
Proven expertise in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, project governance, and infrastructure delivery lifecycles.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and vendors in large-scale project environments.
Solid knowledge of project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira, or similar).
Strong budgeting, scheduling, and resource management skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or Certified Project Engineer will be an added advantage.
